About
Ky Tan (陈兴华) is an actor and model, born and raised in New Zealand. He’s currently based between Vancouver and Singapore.
His journey, shaped by a childhood across three continents and nine cities - Malaysia, USA, China, Singapore, New Zealand - has been fueled by a passion for sports and fitness, particularly Brazilian Jiujitsu, in which he has been competing and training internationally for over a decade.
In 2016, Ky embarked on a career shift from banking in Singapore to pursue his true calling in acting and modeling. Today, he proudly wears the hat of a full-time actor, model, and coach, contributing to the success of Field Assembly Training Facility's Jiujitsu team.
You might recognize Ky from his standout role as Guo Wen in the critically acclaimed drama, Last Madame, alongside a stellar cast of top Singapore-based actors (Joanne Peh, Lina Ng, Brandon Wong, Constance Lau, Fiona Fussi, Alan Wan). This English language 12-parter has not only secured its place as the second highest-rated locally produced drama in Singapore, but has also captivated audiences globally on Netflix and HBO GO.
Beyond the screen, Ky finds fulfillment in the quieter moments of progress, whether it's the shared camaraderie after an 18-hour shoot or witnessing the growth of his Jiujitsu and Muay Thai students.
Join Ky on this journey, where professionalism meets genuine passion, and every achievement, big or small, is a testament to dedication and love for his craft.
